Okay, so enough about my recently found craze but onto the next. First of all I'd love to showcase Emily's elegant style with that slightly devilish feel (mostly due to her character).
The last one does't really have to do with anything. I just thought it was totally sexy-like and worthy of a post. Any who, I will attempt to achieve her tousled curls and simple every day makeup along with a listing off all the products I used bellow.
These were taken before I styled my hair. My goal was a natural everyday look that Emily was shown sporting in consecutive episodes. Don't ridicule me on the accuracy of the makeup -__- I applied based on my memory of the episodes!
Tada! This is the finished look! Okay, I know, its not great but I do like the outcome of the hair :) It came out tousled just as I wanted.
This was all the makeup I used and mostly all the prices bellow :3
First for the face I used Mac select cover-up concealer in NW20 ($17) followed by BareMinerals foundation in Light ($25). Then I used Mac Mineralize Blush in Dainty ($23.50). The little green thing positioned at the upper right hand corner is some mineral translucent power that I believe Sally Hansen has discontinued :'( ($10)
Then for the brows I used Anastasia's Brow Liner in a .. um.. light color (sorry the name rubbed off and I just don't have a clue) ($22).
For the liner I used l'oreal infallible liner in carbon black. ($8.50)
For the lovely lashes I used Almay Triple Effect mascara (I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MASCARA. It can clump but it has done wonders for my almost nonexistent asian lashes.) ($7.00??)
The curler which does not compare to my long lost Shu Uemura curler which some hobbo from the bus somewhere in Los Angeles probably now has posses ): Long, sad, story..
Lash curler from Sephora. ($16) I tell you its an okay curler not worth the bucks.
Clinique eyeshadow palette ($?? um, ask my mom?)
The brushes will remain priceless due to the fact that I don't remember.
Its a plain 'ol straightener. One thing to know about me is that I NEVER use heat on my hair. I crack 'em eggs and olive oil on my head to keep it shiny but never use those awful tools of murder, of course until I had decided to create this "look" or whatever you would like to name it. My dad got this for me from Costco, hard to imagine, huh? Some big German man gravitating towards the hair straighteners (LOL..) Well, point is I didn't even know they sold straighteners but its an off season thing.
Thanks for reading! If you'd like to see more or I just failed at properly describing anything just let me know :) Follow me on twitter at MaylinJane.
